Tigran Akhnazarian

Mr. Tigran Akhnazarian successfully cooperates with many symphony and chamber orchestras, such as Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra, Yerevan Symphony Orchestra (Armenia), Seocheon Philharmonic Orchestra, Korean Young Dream Orchestra (South Korea), Harbin Philharmonic Orchestra (China), Donetsk Philharmonic Orchestra, Karelian Philharmonic Orchestra, Kislovodsk Philharmonic Orchestra, Volgograd Philharmonic Orchestra, Tambov Symphony Orchestra, “Moscow Soloists” Chamber Orchestra of Yury Bashmet, Moscow Slobodkin Centre Chamber Orchestra, National Chamber Orchestra of Armenia and many others.

By Valery Gergiev’s invitation, on June 2014 Tigran Akhnazarian conducted the concerts, highly appreciated by public and critics,in such prestigious venues in Saint-Petersburg as Concert Hall of the Mariinsky Theatre (in frame of the «Stars of The White Nights» festival) and the Concert Hall of the «Saint-Petersburg Opera» Theatre.

Sharing the podium with Maestro Valery Gergiev, Mr. Tigran Akhnazarian on October 2014 conducted the unique joint concert of Mariinsky Symphony Orchestra and Far Eastern Philharmonic

Tigran Akhnazarian led orchestras at various international music festivals, including such renown ones as «Stars of The White Nights» (Artistic director Valery Gergiev, Saint-Petersburg, 2014), «Rachmaninoff Festival» (Artistic director Valery Gergiev, Khabarovsk, 2016), Yuri Bashmet Festival (Khabarovsk-2014, 2015), «Amur Wave» (Blagoveshchensk, 2013), «Far Eastern Spring» (Vladivostok,2014),«Tsaritsyno»(Volgograd,2003). In 2015, Mr. Tigran Akhnazarian founded the «Far Eastern Music Festival for Youth & Children».

Mr. Akhnazarian led dozens of opera and ballet performances such as: Bizet’s «Carmen», Verdi’s «La Traviata», «Macbeth», Leoncavallo’s «Il Pagliacci», Puccini’s «La Boheme», Tchaikovsky’s «Eugene Onegin», «The Queen of Spades», «Sleeping Beauty», «Swan Lake», Rimsky-Korsakov’s «The Tsar’s Bride», Mozart’s «Marriage of Figaro», Donizetti’s «Don Pasquale» etc., as well as large amount of symphonies and orchestral works by Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann, Brahms, Dvorak, Bizet, Saint-Saens, Ravel, Debussy, Wagner, Richard Strauss, Tchaikovsky, Mussorgsky, Borodin, Rachmaninov, Shostakovich, Prokofiev, Khachaturian, Schedrin and others.

Mr. Akhnazarian also successfully conducted various productions with participation of the world-renowned opera singers: Zurab Sotkilava, Makvala Kasrashvili, Vladimir Redkin, Yekaterina Shimanovich, Natalia Evstafieva, Eduard Tsanga, Vladimir Vaneev, Damir Basyrov & others.

In 2001, Bashkortostan National Symphony Orchestra appointed Mr. Akhnazarian as Artistic director and Chief conductor, at the age of only 23, becoming the youngest leader in the history of the orchestra.

Tigran Akhnazarian the founder, artistic director and conductor of the chamber orchestra «Impression» (Moscow, Russia).

In 2010, after highly successful production of Verdi’s «La Traviata», Russian Komi Republic State Opera & Ballet Theatre appointed Mr. Akhnazarian as chief conductor.

2013-2016 Tigran Akhnazarian was Chief conductor & Artistic director of the Far Eastern Philharmonic Orchestra and «Serenade» Chamber Orchestra.

Since 2016, Tigran Akhnazarian is the Artistic director & Chief conductor of the Sakhalin Chamber (Symphony) Orchestra.

Tigran Akhnazarian is regularly invited as a jury member of several competitions:

vice-chairman of jury of XI Perepelitsa Competition of young musicians (Syktyvkar), vice-chairman of jury of the Competition of young musicians «New Names» (Khabarovsk), Chairman of the jury of IV Sobolevsky International Piano Competition (Khabarovsk).

Since 2015 Tigran Akhnazarian is honoured Professor of the Khabarovsk State Institute of Arts & Culture.

Mr. Akhnazarian graduated from Yerevan State Conservatory as violinist (professor Souren Akhnazarian) and conductor (professor, National artist of the Russian Federation, Emin Khachaturyan).

In 1998-2000 Mr. Akhnazarian studied in Saint-Petersburg State Conservatory with legendary Ilya Musin, the teacher of such famous conductors as Yuri Temirkanov, Valery Gergiev, Semyon Bychkov, Vassily Synaisky and others.

In 2004, TigranAkhnazarian took part in the “First international conducting master classes” of the outstanding conductor Kurt Masur in Wroclav (Poland).
